The Norwich Kitty Networking Group visits the English Whisky Distillery 30/03/17.
It’s nothing new of course for The Norwich Kitty Networking Group to meet on a Thursday night in Norfolk at a venue that sells alcohol! This was however a little different to the norm as we embarked on our first member excursion of 2017.
Organised by Simon Curtis, one of our longest serving members, an English Whisky Tour lay in wait for nineteen of his fellow networkers. It wouldn’t have been a typical Norwich Kitty Networking Group night without new faces in the room and we were delighted to welcome three debutants along. Joy by name and joy by nature, our knowledgeable guide for the evening started off by educating us on the history of the English Whisky Company before taking us through the complete production process.
Leading us on a walk and talk tour that kicked off on the distilling floor, took us to Warehouse 1 to breathe in the amazing ‘Angels Share’ aroma and finished in the bottling room – Joy left no stone unturned before she finally let us sample some of the finished product.
With ample time remaining to look around the impressive gift shop and purchase mainly liquid souvenirs we headed back to Norwich for a much needed drink!
A massive thanks to all who supported the event and especially Simon for all his hard work putting it together. Now who said The Norwich Kitty Networking Group couldn’t organise a **** up in a brewery?!!
